Taylor Swift has filed a
counter suit..
against David Mueller, a Colorado DJ who was
fired after allegations that he groped the Grammy winner
backstage.
The court documents say, "Ms. Swift knows exactly who
committed the assault--it was Mueller--and she is not
confused in the slightest about whether her long-term
business acquaintance, Mr. Haskell, was the culprit."
"Resolution of this Counterclaim will demonstrate that
Mueller alone was the perpetrator of the humiliating and
wrongful conduct targeted against Ms. Swift, and will serve
as an example to other women who may resist publicly
reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts."
The documents further state, "Mueller did not merely brush
his hand against Ms. Swift while posing for the photograph.
He lifted her skirt and groped her."
Swift is demanding a jury trial and, according to the court
documents, any money she wins from the trial will go to
"charitable organizations dedicated to protecting women
from similar acts of sexual assault and personal disregard."
T.Swift is being sued by a DJ in Colorado.
Per the Denver Post, Mueller (who uses the name "Jackson"
on the radio) filed a suit against the singer Thursday
claiming he was fired from his job at 98.5 KYGO over false
allegations that he grabbed Swift's butt while taking a photo.
The incident took place during a photo session on June 2,
2013 before Swift performed at Denver's Pepsi Center.
Mueller, who was then host of 98.5 KYGO's "Ryno and
Jackson" morning show, was invited as part of his job to a
meet and greet backstage.
According to the suit, Mueller and his girlfriend, Shannon
Melcher, posed for a photo with Swift. The singer "quickly
put her right arm" around Melcher's girlfriend, and the DJ
himself jumped into the pic "at the last second."
Per the Denver Post, Swift thanked the couple and then left.
After this, Mueller claims he encountered a co-worker who
excitedly recounted his own experience meeting Swift.
According to the filing, the co-worker "described and
demonstrated how he had put his arms around her [Swift]"
as well as how he put his "hands on her bottom."
Later in the evening, Mueller states that he and Melcher
were inside the concert arena when a member of Swift's
security team approached them. According to the filing, the
security member accused Mueller of grabbing Swift's butt
before escorting the DJ and his girlfriend to an exit.
Mueller, who denies having touched Swift inappropriately,
states that he was fired June 4, 2013 because of these.
A representative for Swift, however, told Our correspondent in a statement, "The radio station was given evidence immediately after the incident. They made their independent decision."
Swift herself has yet to directly address the lawsuit or the DJ's claims on social media, but she has liked a slew of
fans' tumblr posts supporting her for speaking up against
